A hydrological model tank for the measurement of the filtration velocity and the direction of underground flow using tracer techniques was built and tested. For the accurate measurement of the filtration velocity Vsub(f) the ' alpha -value' in the equation for Vsub(f) has to be estimated for different aquifer mediums and different filter tubes.
