Use of a Partial-Differential-Equation Model to Estimate Impingement Impact at Cumberland Steam Electric Plant, Barkley Reservoir

Computer simulation techniques were used to investigate to what extent observed decreases in Barkley Reservoir Fish stocks could result from impingement mortality at the Cumberland Steam Electric Plant. Species investigated were threadfin shad (Dorosoma petenense), bluegill (Lepomis macrochirus), white crappie (Pomoxis annularis), and freshwater drum (Aplodinotus grunniens). (ERA citation 07:004028)
