Special RETRAN Modeling Studies Performed in Conjunction with the Peach Bottom-2 Transient Test Analysis. Final Report

Four topical areas that were investigated in conjunction with the RETRAN analysis of the Peach Bottom Unit-2 BWR turbine trip tests are covered in this report. These areas are (1) pressure wave effects in the system; (2) two BWR control systems, the level-feed flow controller and the pressure controller; (3) integral steam separators used in BWRs; and (4) the steady-state relation between the recirculation pump speed and the system flow rates.
