(Magnetic Field Annihilation in the Magnetosphere and Some Applications): Progress Report (For the Period 1/1/81 Through 12/31/81)

摘要

The objective of the proposed contract is twofold. The first is to learn how a magnetized plasma flow interacts with a magnetized celestial body. This interaction constitutes a dynamo and is believed to occur under a variety of astrophysical conditions. The second is to study energy-related problems in the arctic environment. Some of these arise in association with auroral activity.
