Modifications of Trajectory Models Needed for Pollutant Source-Receptor Analysis

The purpose of this note is to discuss some of the difficulties one should expect to encounter when using the usual trajectory models to calculate source-receptor relationships for the incorporation of pollutants into precipitation. Section II discusses sources of difficulty; Section III gives the results of trajectory calculations that were performed to test the sensitivity of source-receptor relationships to transport layer assumptions; Section IV presents some suggestions for future developments.
