Use of Purified Enzymes in the Standardization of Enzyme Assays

Purified enzymes are useful as reference material in the standardization of enzyme assays. They can be used to (1) develop and validate reference methods, (2) assess performance and transferability of reference methods on an interlaboratory basis, (3) assign target values to both calibrators and QC materials, and (4) assess performance of diagnostic products.
