Performance Monitoring of Ground-Coupled Solar-Assisted Heat Pump Systems

Three Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company demonstration houses in Perkins, Oklahoma, and the HVAC and data acquisition systems are described. The project involves comparison of the performance of a ground-coupled, solar-assisted heat pump system with that of a ground coupled heat pump system without solar assist, and with a conventional air source heat pump system. Details of the data acquisition and processing system are given. Problems encountered and anticipated are discussed.
