500-M exp 3 Spill Test Facility for Liquefied Gaseous Fuels

We describe a test facility planned for the Frenchman Flat area of the Nevada Test Site to study the effects of large spills of liquefied gaseous fuels. The facility is designed to safely and reliably handle test spills as large as 500 m exp 3 . Fuels of interest at present are liquefied natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, liquefied ammonia, and liquefied hydrogen. (ERA citation 07:003277)
