摘要

Progress in the development of a real-time system for in-serivce inspection of reactor vessels and piping components is described in this report. A thorough analysis of the processing bottlenecks in the synthetic Aperture Focusing Techniques is presented along with some possible solutions to achieve increased processing speed. Techniques have been designed and implemented for improved display of flaw images and results of this study are presented. The progress includes development of techniques to recognize flaws near the front surface of the object under inspection and development of squint-mode scanning and processing methods.
