We study the path integral quantization of a purely fermionic system in the semiclassical approximation. It is crucial that the analogue of the usual method of stationary phase works for integrals over Grassmann variables. Our analysis is based on a quite trivial example (the exact solution is known), and therefore we can check when the results make sense. It is shown that just as in the boson case the path integral method depends on the discretization (we use the Faddeev discretization) and some attempts to do the same derivations directly in the continuous time limit are shown to yield either ill-defined objects or simply wrong results. It seems correct to conclude that the key point is the discretization. (Atomindex citation 14:721211)
