Compilation of Results from Heat Transfer and Pressure Drop Experiments Using Artificially Roughened Surfaces in Annular Channels

Data and correlations which form part of the basis for a collaborative project with Kernforschungszentrum Karlsruhe (KfK) are presented. The collaboration was aimed towards comparing the thermal performance of the different types of artificially roughened surfaces which have been developed in the gas-cooled reactor research programmes. A compilation of the data from the UK Advanced Gas-cooled Reactor (AGR) research programme which were used in the comparison is given and the results of the analysis of these data using methods which have been developed as part of the AGR research programme are described. For completeness the results of an analysis of the KfK data are also included. (Atomindex citation 13:714681)
