Noble-Gas Standards for Calibration of Stack-Effluent Monitoring Systems

Standards of exp 41 Ar, exp 85 Kr and exp 133 Xe were prepared for the calibration of a prototype stack-effluent monitoring system being developed by AECL. The standards were issued in the form of radionuclide-air mixtures contained in 10-L counting chambers of specific design. This report describes the radioactivity measurements and the gas handling system used in the preparation of the standards. (ERA citation 07:053911)
