Preparation of Monodisperse Solid Ferric Oxide Particles Using the May Spinning-Top Aerosol Generator

Extensive modifications have been made to the May spinning-top aerosol generator in order to produce satellite-free monodisperse ferric oxide particles in the size range 1 to 10 mu m. The problems encountered during the development work and the factors which influence the reliability of this equipment are described. (ERA citation 07:008503)
