摘要

The report reviews the methods and practices of the nuclear industry for specifying and verifying the performance characteristics of simulators used to train nuclear power plant operators. It also reviews the training simulator methods and practices of selected non-nuclear industries (in particular, the civilian and military aircraft industries) and compares them with those of the nuclear industry. In addition, it identified non-nuclear methods that might be profitable adopted by the nuclear industry and perhaps included in simulator standard endorsed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
