Developer's Guide to Small-Scale Hydroelectric Development in the Southeast

This report is intended primarily to provide to small-scale hydroelectric developers precise information on the federal and state permitting processes in the eight states of Region IV of the US Department of Energy, i.e., Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. The procedures for each permit are described in the text and flow charts are provided at the end of each chapter. Information is also included on state financing and taxation incentives which may apply to small hydro and on the Public Utility Policies Act as it applies to small hydro. (ERA citation 07:049519)
