Safety Evaluation Report Related to the Restart of R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant. Docket No. 50-244, Rochester Gas and Electric Corporation

This report documents NRC's evaluation of the tube rupture which occurred at the R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant on January 25, 1982. This plant, which is located in Wayne County, New York, is owned and operated by Rochester Gas and Electric Corporation. In NUREG-0916, the staff has determined, based on conclusions reached in Section 10.0, that operation of the Ginna plant would be acceptable subject to the commitments contained in Section 9.0 of that report which, as summarized below, have been incorporated into the license as conditions.
