Integrated Production Planning and Control System for Steelmaking Facilities with an Energy Conservation Criterion

Effects of plant scheduling on overall energy usage in an integrated steel plant were determined and techniques were designed to minimize the quantity of energy utilized. The design and development of an integrated production control strategy through which the energy usage are discussed as well as test methodology and preliminary investigation. (ERA citation 11:005594)
