Nation's Electric Future: Perspectives on the Issue of Electricity Supply Sufficiency

The financial problems of electric utilities in the U.S. and the outlook for the supply of and demand for electric power are discussed. It is concluded that, by the end of the 1980's, the central regions of the country may have less electricity than their growing economies may require and that all of the nation will pay more for the power it needs.
