Progress is reported on research in the following areas: (1) studies on the ability of lymphoblastoid cells to remove the alkylation adduct O exp 6 methylguanine from their DNA; (2) studies on the termination of DNA synthesis on carcinogen-damaged templates in an in vitro system; and (3) studies aimed at the transformation of xeroderma cells.
