Thermal Purification of TATB Containing Chloronitrobenzenes

Three different processes for thermally removing chloronitrobenzene impurities from TATB were investigated. Each was found to reduce impurity concentrations to acceptable levels. Oven-drying is being used to recover approx. 21,000 kilograms of TATB. (ERA citation 07:063467)
