The report is based primarily on the results of a 1982 questionnaire mailed to all State Units and to a sample group of 219 Area Agencies. Tables are presented on the following categories: expenditures; expenditures for major service categories; characteristics of persons served; congregate meals; home delivered meals; transportation; housekeeping; costs; cost differences between urban and rural areas. Service definitions are provided.
