摘要

A general approach for the optimization of nuclear reactor core design and operation is outlined; it is based on two cornerstones: a newly developed time-dependent (or burnup-dependent) perturbation theory for nonlinear problems and a succesive iteration technique. The resulting approach is capable of handling realistic reactor models using computational methods of any degree of sophistication desired, while accounting for all the constraints imposed. Three general optimization strategies, different in the way for handling the constraints, are formulated. (Atomindex citation 16:027121)
