摘要

It is shown that thin optical elements such as foils can be accurately positioned directly by a radiation field (e.g. optical) standing wave pattern. An application is used to protect optical elements from radiation damage by locating them at intensity minima of a standing wave pattern. This short note concerns itself with the question of how to position thin optical elements with high accuracy in a radiation field. (ERA citation 08:047144)
