Electrolyte for Anodic Oxidation of Titanium Alloys

The invention involves the electrolytic production of oxide films on titanium alloys which operate both under conditions of dry friction and with the use of lubricants. The purpose of the invention is to increase the antifriction properties of oxide films. The goal is accomplished by adding orthophosphoric acid and a surfactant to an electrolyte containing sulfuric acid and particles of a solid lubricant. (ERA citation 09:000807)
