摘要

Axisymmetric extrusion of aluminum at 450 exp 0 C is being studied using the visioplastic method. A full field strain distribution is obtained through a conical die which has an extrusion ratio of 13 to 1. Strains are determined from changes in the shape of flow lines that were originally ink stamped on an axial plane of the billet. Numerical methods are described for approximation, differentiation, and integration of the material flow functions and strain rates. Good agreement is found between calculated and measured flow patterns. (ERA citation 09:026313)
