Volume VII of the H-Coal Pilot Plant Final Report is devoted entirely to Materials Evaluation. This section contains a description of the plans, programs, tests, operating experience and other activities related to materials evaluation at the H-Coal Pilot Plant. Included are the data obtained from corrosion monitoring coupons, visual inspections and nondestructive testing methods as well as the results of failure analysis, metallographic evaluations and erosion monitoring. Recommendations based on these evaluations and applicable to commercial synfuels facilities are also presented. (ERA citation 09:030110)
