Selection of Radiation Tolerant Electrical/Electronic Components for gamma Radiation Environments in the Nuclear Power Industry

This report briefly describes the mechanisms, units and effects of 1 MeV range gamma radiation on electrical/electronic components and materials. Information is tabulated on the gamma radiation tolerance of a wide range of components and materials. A radiation testing service, based at Harwell, is described.
