摘要

Testing of copper-exchanged synthetic mordenite for combined SO sub 2 adsorption and NO/sub x/ reduction using ammonia as the reducing gas was begun. Column trading times varied from 109 to 163 minutes for greater than 99% SO sub 2 removal. The NO/sub x/ reduction efficiencies were greater than 70%, except for one run that was inexplicably low. Regeneration times and efficiencies were quite dependent on the regeneration gas. Hydrogen was better than CO or CH sub 4 , which were about the same. Utilization efficiencies of the copper were high, which reduces the size of the adsorbent beds required. (ERA citation 09:049400)
