Environment for the Integration of Existing Software Tools

摘要

A framework is described that may be used to put together: existing development tools; a highly interactive user interface; a database; and four object-oriented software managers. The system supports concurrency and large data bases of information. The environment planned is to evolve and expand over a period of years, so the design must allow for quick detachment and assembly of tools into the system. And, finally, the environment was created to serve as a basis for future design in the study of environments. (ERA citation 12:029873)
