Research and development activities of the Physics Department during the period 1982-1983 are described in the following fields: TANDAR (heavy ions accelerator, laboratories, nuclear facilities); Nuclear Physics (nuclear structure, nuclear reactions); Solid State Physics (vibrational spectroscopy, crystal structure and phase transformations, crystal growth, Moessbauer spectroscopy, theoretical solid state physics, geological applications); Solar Energy.
