Quantization of the Damped Harmonic Oscillator

By using a canonical transformation and coherent states, an alternative treatment to quantize the damped harmonic oscillator is presented. It is shown that one can reproduce the proper classical limit by this treatment. The question about the zero- point is also discussed. (ERA citation 11:004539)
