EVENT84 User's Manual: A Computer Code for Analyzing Explosion-Induced Gas-Dynamic Transients in Flow Networks

This manual supports the computer code EVENT84, which can predict explosion-induced gas-dynamic transients in flow networks. The code can model transients in any arbitrarily designated network of building rooms and ventilation systems. A lumped-parameter formulation is used. EVENT84 was designed to provide a safety analysis tool for the nuclear, chemical, and mining industries. It is particularly suitable for calculating the detailed effects of explosions in the far field using a parametric representation of the explosive event.
