Foreign Programs for the Storage of Spent Nuclear Power Plant Fuels, High-Level Waste Canisters and Transuranic Wastes

The various national programs for developing and applying technology for the interim storage of spent fuel, high-level radioactive waste, and TRU wastes are summarized. Primary emphasis of the report is on dry storage techniques for uranium dioxide fuels, but data are also provided concerning pool storage. (ERA citation 09:032712)
