Multi-Solute Subsurface Transport Modeling for Energy Solid Wastes: Highlights FY 1984

At the present time a general multi-solute model, FIESTA, has been developed which combines the chemical processes of ion exchange, adsorption and complex formation, and the physical factors of convection and dispersion. Present research, highlighted in this report, is aimed at incorporating solubility reactions and a general kinetic, rather than equilibrium, approach to the chemical interactions.
