Stored Data Acquisition System: Update

Sandia National Laboratories has developed, and continues to improve and modify, a simple, low-power, inexpensive data acquisition system that retains collected data in semiconductor memory rather than telemetering them in real-time; data are retrieved after the test unit is recovered. The system monitors and digitizes up to eight analog inputs. A microprocessor controls the device, thus making it adaptable to different data acquisition tasks. (ERA citation 10:024280)
