A compilation of even-even nuclei from 8 <= A <= 256 having Jsub( pi ) = 2 sub 1+ as first excited state, and 0 sub 2+ , 2 sub 2+ , 4 sub 1+ or 3 sub 1- as second excited states is presented and the systematics of their energy pattern investigated. Ratio of the reduced transition probabilities b(E2; 22 implies 21)/b(E2; 21 implies 01), b(E2; 22 implies 01)/b(E2; 21 implies 01), b(E2; 22 implies 21)/b(E2; 22 implies 01) and b(E2; 31 implies 21)/b(E2; 31 implies 22) as well as the asymmetry parameter gamma are computed from the Davydov-Filipov model for 74 <= A <= 254. Estimates of the b(E2) ratios are compared with a few experimental values and calculations from other theoretical models. Data are from the most recent available literature. (ERA citation 11:055293)
