In this progress report, achievements made and results obtained during the second period of the 2.5 year study of vibrational control of chemical reactors are presented. During the second period of the project the objectives of the research activities were: to conduct further experiments in vibrational control with the homogeneous liquid phase exothermic continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) system; to construct a catalytic exothermic CSTR system and to develop the reactor model; and to carry out the modelling of the packed-bed reactor system.
