Thermographic Investigation on the Thermoelastic Effect in Metals

In this paper we describe the thermodynamical phenomena of thermoelastic effect of metal and provide a technique of the infrared thermograph with used measurement of the temperature changes during deformation process. It is shown that the variation of mechanical properties of metal can be correlated with the temperature change during the elastic-plastic tensile pulling. The thermoelastic effect and its measurement technique are developed as a method, which in particular is used for measuring the material properties such as the Grueneisen parameter. 15 refs, 3 figs, 1 tab.
