摘要

The research program focussed on ascertaining which types of molecular species, both small radicals and ring structures, are precursors to soot production. The experimental part of the program was initially conducted to detect the appearance of condensed ring aromatics, and to determine the rates of their production. Products of pyrolysis were analyzed. A minimal set of 18 reactions was found to account for our observations. (ERA citation 10:014010)
