The document presents a plan for research in Piping to be performed by the Materials Engineering Branch, MEBR, Division of Engineering Technology, (DET), Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research. It is one of four plans describing the ongoing research in the corresponding areas of MEBR activity, which are being published simultaneously in four volumes as follows: Vol. 1 Reactor Vessels, Vol. 2 Steam Generators, Vol. 3 Piping, and Vol. 4 Non-Destructive Examination. The plans have been updated and are more detailed expansions of those originally published as part of the Long Range Research Plan for the Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research in NUREG-1080 Vol. 1.
