Conformal and Superconformal 2-Dimensional Field Theories

The general formalism is reviewed for theories with N=0, 1, 2, (N=number of supersymmetry generators). Degenerate representations of the super-Virasoro-algebras are constructed using the vertex-operator method of Feigin and Fuchs, for both Neveu-Schwarz and Ramond-sectors (for N=1 and 2). The special significance of certian discrete values of the central charge is briefly touched upon. (ERA citation 11:057574)
