Assessment of the Adequacy of the Calibrations Performed by Commercial Calibration Services for Ionizing Radiation Survey Instruments.

The report discusses a blind study aimed at assessing the adequacy of commercial services for the calibration of portable radiation survey instruments. In addition to a quantitative analysis of the achieved calibration values, the results also address associated qualitative aspects. Data presented reviews the performance of a calibration service for an individual instrument calibration as well as their overall performance for a variety of instruments.
