Choosing Measures of Central Tendency in Biological Research Applications

The TERPED code is a versatile methodology for determining with what confidence a data set may be considered to have a normal or a log-normal distribution, and for determining various measures of central tendency of these data. It should prove beneficial even to individuals having access to SAS, since TERPED is a relatively short public-domain code that generates high resolution graphical output, whereas SAS is a much larger code, is proprietary, and cannot be modified for special applications.
