摘要

Inhomogeneities in chemical compositions and microstructures can result in lot-to-lot variations in the charge release characteristics of ferroelectric lead-zirconate-titanate ceramics. One source of inhomogeneity is agglomeration and selective sedimentation which occurs during aqueous mixing of the constituent oxides. Procedures using electrostatic and steric stabilization of oxide powders were developed for fabricating homogeneous powder compacts. Use of lead carbonate instead of lead oxide minimizes problems encountered using various slurry stabilization techniques. (ERA citation 11:023076)
