DOE Innovative Concentrator Project

摘要

The purpose of the Department of Energy Solar Thermal Program Concentrator Task is to develop efficient, low cost methods of concentrating solar energy as a high temperature thermal source for process heat applications and for electrical power generation. The annual efficiency and cost of point-focus concentrators are presently about 62% and $650/M sup 2 , respectively. The long-term program goals are to produce point-focus concentrators which are 78% efficient for a cost of $140/M sup 2 . (ERA citation 11:019552)
