Microbial Metabolism of Aromatic Compounds under Anaerobic Conditions

摘要

Recent studies on the anaerobic biodegratation of haloaromatic and aromatic compounds clearly demonstrate the importance of anaerobic microbial transformations of organic compounds in anoxic environments. This paper presents a critical review of the available scientific information on the anaerobic microbial metabolism of homo- and heterocyclic aromatic compounds, with emphasis on various anaerobic microbial processes and metabolic pathways.
