Thermal Regimes of Major Volcanic Centers: Magnetotelluric Constraints on the Coupling of Deep-Seated Magma Genesis to High-Level Geothermal Reservoirs: Summary of Research Accomplishments, 1980-1986: Final Technical Report
The report summarizes the status of progress in a program designed to apply geophysical techniques to detecting and characterizing geological features and physical processes within the earth that are related to energy resources. Attention was directed toward acquiring an understanding of dynamical processes and thermal regimes associated with centers of major volcanic activity, emphasizing studies of the Long Valley/Mono Basin volcanic complex.
