The workshop was to provide technology familiarization to participants active in the application, marketing, or design of heat pumps in industry. Its primary goal was to stress the importance of properly locating heat pumps in an energy-optimized process with secondary goals of providing information on availability, successful applications, utility experiences, advanced R and D efforts, and DOE's role.
