摘要

We report the preliminary results of time resolved x-ray scattering measurements of the kinetics associated with the order-disorder transition in thin films of Cu sub 3 Au. The results to date find that late time ordering in Cu sub 3 Au is probably isotropic, and growth of domain size in films down to 950 A is consistent with a Cahn-Allen growth law as observed in bulk crystals. Early time ordering may be strongly affected by film thickness. 15 refs., 3 figs., 1 tab. (ERA citation 13:054176)
