Cross Sections for Hydrogen Muonic Atomic Processes in Two-Level Approximation of the Adiabatic Framework.

摘要

The phase-shifts and cross sections have been calculated in a broad collision energy range (0.001 less than or equal to epsilon less than or equal to 50 eV) for the elastic scattering, isotopic exchange and spin-flip hydrogen muonic atomic processes. The so-called ''simple approach'' to the three-body problem with the Coulomb interaction in the adiabatic two-level approximation has been applied. The comparison of the obtained values with available results of the multichannel approximation shows that the accuracy of our calculations is about 10%. The presented set of the phases and cross sections together with corrections for the electron screening and molecular structure, enables one to investigate kinetics of the muon-catalyzed fusion in any mixtures of hydrogen isotopes. 20 refs.; 21 figs.; 20 tabs.
